The ASAT Classic is a straight-forward, easy playing, tone machine that offers familiar styling with modern refinements. Woody, articulate and beefy in the mids, the tone of this axe is slightly punchier than other, similar designs.
The pickups are responsive and focused, but they never get too bright or harsh, even on the bridge position. Clean tones have a nice shimmer and chime, and with some distortion, this is the perfect all around blues, rock and country guitar.
The neck is comfortable and it'll feel familiar the first time you pick it up. Impeccable American craftsmanship and a price tag way below where it could be make the ASAT Classic one of the best deals on the market!
This ASAT Classic features an autumn burst glossy finish, that is classy and stylish. The maple neck is G&L's #1 classic C shape, and it has a rosewood fretboard, (with gloss light tint finish), white pearl dot inlays and 22 medium jumbo frets.
This guitar has two of G&L's ASAT Classic single-coil alnico pickups (neck & bridge). The traditional boxed-steel bridge with individually adjustable brass saddles provides tuning stability and makes for easy intonation adjustments.
Other features include Sperzel Standard tuners, a black 3-ply pickguard and 3-way selector switch. This guitar sounds as good as it looks and will last many more years to come!
This guitar is used but in excellent shape overall. Just a minor mark on the bottom front of the guitar, nothing major at all. Other surface scratches from general use but may buff out. Playability is excellent and everything is tested and working as it should. No fretwear and at first glance, it looks like this guitar was never played! The case is still in decent shape too. Cosmetic imperfections, dings scuffs etc. on the outside but nothing major. Latches working as they should. The inside is great. It will keep this guitar safe and sound.
