Larrivee OOO-40 - Koa Wood - Small Body - Special/Limited Run w/Case

This guitar is based on Jean Larrivee's innovative "X-Brace" design, which blends a non-symmetrical scalloped lateral cross-bracing pattern with the standard X-Brace to offer maximum strength with minimal material usage. This unique build allows for even greater soundboard vibration, while maintaining a controlled bass response.

Crafted in the US, using all solid wood, the OOO-40 boasts a 12-Fret Mahogany neck, composite bridge pins, bone nut and saddle, diamond fingerboard dots, and 18:1 open back tuners. The stunning Koa on the back and sides, sourced from Jean's private stash, gives the guitar a beautiful finish.

The Larrivee OOO-40 guitar is a must-have for traditional and long-time Larrivée players. Koa, a Hawaiian tonewood, is highly prized for its warm and balanced tone, clear top end, and strong midrange. Its density and stiffness result in quick attack and excellent sustain, making it an ideal choice for fingerstyle playing. Koa is relatively lightweight, stable, easy to work with, and has a striking visual appearance.
