Real chamois rod cloths are preferred for flutes because they are highly absorbent and do not leave lint behind, making them effective for cleaning the delicate interior of the instrument.
Additionally, they help prevent scratches that can occur with other materials.
To use a chamois rod cloth effectively, thread it through a cleaning rod and wrap it around securely. This method allows for thorough cleaning of all parts of the flute, including the headjoint, body, and footjoint.
